The no. of PCR tests exceeds 350,000!

The number of PCR tests conducted in Sri Lanka so far has exceeded 350,000. According to official government reports, the total number of investigations carried out so far is 357,698.

8789 tests were carried out yesterday (14) alone, which is the highest number of tests conducted in a single day so far.

Due to the growing cluster of covid 19 associated with Brandix in Minuwangoda, the daily PCR volume had to be increased several times and at present the health authorities are conducting daily tests at maximum capacity.
