CSE All-Share index closes 1.24% higher
COLOMBO: Sri Lankan shares closed higher after three consecutive sessions of losses, lifted by gains in industrial and financial stocks, Reuters reported.
The CSE All-Share index settled 1.24% higher at 8,853.27, exchange data showed. It lost 6.7% over the last three sessions.
Trading volume on the CSE All-Share index fell to 66.5 million shares, from 91.3 million shares in the previous session.
Equity market turnover was 2.30 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.34 million), according to exchange data.
Foreign investors were net buyers in the equity market, purchasing 46 million rupees of shares, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 2.29 billion rupees, data showed.
