Long Weekend Curfew : Important notice for Western Province residents

Army Commander Shavendra Silva has requested people in the Western Province not to leave the province before the curfew tonight as they risk the people in other areas.

He requested the people to remain in houses as Curfew is only imposed temporarily.

Police has also requested the public innin western province not to travel outside the province.

Curfew will be imposed in the Western province from midnight on Thursday (29) until 5.00 am on Monday.

Army commander also requested the public to refrain from panic-buying before curfew is enforced.
