Mano Ganesan highlights progress in addressing hill country Tamils’ aspirations

COLOMBO: Tamil Progressive Alliance leader Mano Ganesan expressed satisfaction as the continuous advocacy for national political aspirations of around 1.5 million hill country Tamils residing in the Central, Upper, Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Southern provinces is yielding positive results.

He described the development as a significant milestone that brings happiness.

In a statement, the Colombo district MP emphasised the need to address the challenging living conditions faced by the plantation community among the hill country Tamils.

He said that when successive governments treat them as stepchildren, it is natural for them to seek support from their neighbours and strive to fulfil their reasonable expectations.
