Supreme Court rejects jailed Suu Kyi appeals
The media reports that the military-led Supreme Court of Myanmar has dismissed the appeals against the six corruption charges of the imprisoned former leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
Suu Kyi has been detained since the military overthrew her government in 2021. She is appealing multiple convictions, including treason, bribery, and violations of telecommunications law, which could result in a 27-year prison sentence.
The Nobel Peace Prize recipient has refuted any accusations of misconduct.
