Indian PM Modi greets Advani on his 93rd birthday
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Bharatiya Janata Party veteran Lal Krishna Advani on his 93rd birthday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda also present.
The prime minister said on Twitter: “Went to Advani Ji’s residence to wish him on his birthday. It is always a delight to spend time with him. For Karyakartas like me, Advani Ji’s support and guidance remain invaluable. His contributions to nation building are immense.”
Party President Jagat Prakash Nadda also prayed for the senior leader’s long and healthy life.
“Hearty congratulations to the honorable L.K. Advani Ji, former Deputy Prime Minister, and senior BJP leader, for his dedication and principles in politics. I pray to God for your health and longevity,” Nadda tweeted (roughly translated from Hindi).
Former Deputy Prime Minister Advani was born on Nov. 8 in 1927 in Karachi in undivided India. After the partition, his family moved to India.
