Shanakiyan comments on recent talks with President (Video)

“We are not people who change policy every three months like (Jaffna MP C. V.) Wigneswaran. We will continue to walk the same path for the people,” said Batticaloa District MP Rasamanickam Shanakiyan.

He was speaking at a press conference in Jaffna.

Shanakyan commented on Tamil political leaders’ recent meeting with President Ranil Wickremesinghe. Wigneswaran MP did not attend the talks.

Shanakiyan added: ” … like him, we do not change policies occasionally, every three months. Our party will stay committed to the cause always.”

President Wickramasinghe, who has been continuously claiming he will provide a solution to the ethnic conflict, has not delivered on his statement that he would present a settlement plan last March.

“Despite many disappointments, we attend the meetings with the President,” the Batticaloa MP pointed out.

The MP highlighted his work supporting the people in the Eastern Province and other regions.
