Dhananjaya is Test captain for Afghan series

Sri Lankan all-rounder Dhananjaya de Silva has been named as the Test captain for Sri Lanka’s upcoming series against Afghanistan, while Kusal Mendis has been appointed as the Vice Captain.

Accordingly, de Silva will serve as the captain for the one-off Test match against Afghanistan, which is part of the home series held during January – February.

The series, played on the heels of Zimbabwe’s Tour of Sri Lanka, will consist of one Test match, three ODIs and three T20 matches.
