Jaipur Foot Artifical Limb Fitment Camp in Jaffna

The Jaipur Foot Artifical Limb Fitment Camp at District Management Skill Development Training Centre, Old Park Road Jaffna (4-20 June).

The Consulate General of India, Jaffna in collaboration with Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS)/Jaipur Foot India, is organizing an artificial limb fitment camp from 4th to 20th June 2024.

The camp will be held at the District Management Skill Development Training Centre, Old Park Road, Jaffna. This initiative will provide 350 beneficiaries from the Northern Province with artificial limbs.

The Camp is supported by the Government of India. It is being conducted by an Indian NGO, Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), which works for physical and socio-economic rehabilitation of the physically disabled. The Jaipur-based NGO, founded in 1975, is also the world’s largest organization for the differently abled regarding the fitment of artificial limbs and other related aids.

The camp is being organized with the support of the Offices of the Chief Secretary, Northern Province, the Government Agent, and the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Social Service.

Beneficiaries will receive fitment services on the same day.

The treatment is entirely free of charge. Individuals who have not yet registered and are now interested in availing themselves of the services may establish contact with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Social Service, Jaffna.
