IMF approves 2nd review of $2.9bn bailout

The International Monetary Fund approved the second review of Sri Lanka’s $2.9 billion bailout, the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry said in a post on social media platform X.

The approval will pave the way for the release of about $337 million to help the crisis-hit country return to growth.
