‘2024 study in Korea Education Fair’ in Colombo

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the National Institute for International Education of Korea, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Sri Lanka, will host its first-ever “2024 Study in Korea Education Fair,” paving the way for Sri Lankan students to explore opportunities for higher studies in Korea.

The fair is scheduled for Sunday, June 30, and July 1, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Trace Expert City in Maradana, Colombo 10.

The opening ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 30, at 10:00 a.m. and attended by H.E. Miyon Lee, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, and Hon. Susil Premajanth, the Minister of Education of Sri Lanka.

Eleven Korean universities will participate in the on-site event at Trace Expert City, allowing students to explore individual university booths and receive personalized consultations regarding admissions, academic programs, and scholarships.

For those who cannot come, the online education fair will be held with the participation of thirty universities from June 28 to July 2 via the official website ‘studyinkorea.go.kr’.

Participants can also enjoy various side events, such as the “Study in Korea Talk Concert,” where Sri Lankan graduates from Korean universities will share their experiences. The “Taste of Korean Street Food” booth will provide popular Korean street food prepared by a Korean chef and various Korean snacks.

The Republic of Korea and Sri Lanka share years of cooperation in many sectors, and education has become one of the most prominent areas in which the two countries have collaborated.
