Seetha appointed State Minister for Women and Child Affairs

Sri Lanka’s President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed SLPP parliamentarian Seetha Kumari Arambepola as the Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs.

The previous minister in the post, former actress Geetha Kumarasinghe, was sacked after she pledged support to the opposition party Samagi Jana Balavegaya.

Arambepola already holds the post of Minister of State for Health.
