The wife of an early freedom fighter has died

Mrs. Rajaruparani Rajaratnam, wife of Kuttimani (Yogachandran Rajaratnam), one of the founders of the Delo organization who was involved in the Eelam liberation struggle, passed away yesterday (05) in London at the age of 69.

Kuttimani was one of the pioneers of the liberation struggle. When he was sentenced to death he was told to fit his eyes into the blind.

He said let his eyes see the Tamil Eelam that he did not seen. His eyes were gouged out and tortured by members of the majority ethnic group during the riots.
