Sri Lanka rupee gains some strength
COLOMBO: Sri Lanka rupee closed marginally stronger at 187.80/188.50 to the US dollar in the spot-next market while gilt yields remained unchanged in dull market trade, dealers said in a report carried by Economy Next.
The rupee was quoted at 188.50/189 to the US dollar on Thursday against the US dollar, said the report.
In the secondary securities market, bond yields remained unchanged in dull market trade, dealers said.
Dealers said the market was dried up with thin volumes.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 closed flat at 5.70/75 per cent on Friday from Thursday’s closing.
