Dayasiri Jayasekara tests positive for Covid-19

State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has tested positive for Covid-19.

He is currently receiving treatment at a hotel operating as a Covid treatment centre in Hikkaduwa.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary said he had tested positive after suffering from the flu during the last 04-days.

Stating that the PCR test result received last night had confirmed his transmission, the State Minister said he had not attended Parliament during this period.

He further said no SLFP members or Parliamentarians have been isolated following his detection.
