3,821 more new COVID-19 infections in Philippines

The Philippine Health Ministry on Thursday confirmed 3,821 more new coronavirus infections, the most in 11 days, and 80 additional deaths, according to Reuters.

In a bulletin, cited by Reuters, the ministry said total confirmed cases have increased to 248,947, the most in Southeast Asia, while COVID-19 deaths have reached 4,066.

AFP reported today that more than 900,000 deaths have been registered from 27.7 million cases of infection.

The death toll reached more than 400,000 by June 7.
