Pakistan PM arrives in Sri Lanka
Pakistan Prime Minister – Imran Khan arrived in Sri Lanka a short while ago for a two-day official visit.
He was cordially welcomed by his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa amid military honours, after landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
The Pakistan Premier is the first head of state to visit the country since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Later in the evening, the two Prime ministers are to meet again at the Prime minister’s official residence – Temple Trees for bilateral discussions which will be followed by a joint statement to the media.
Premier Khan will also meet with President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa tomorrow morning (24).
