Pakistan High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Saad Khattak says Sri Lanka allowing burials proves the depth of relationship two countries having and the mutual respect.
Ambassador Khattak highlighted the Pakistan’s behind the scene role in persuading Colombo to end mandatory cremations of COVID 19 victims.
In a twitter message the Pakistani High Commissioner highlighted the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “personal involvement” on the matter.
“Allowing burial of Covid victims is a visionary decision promising greater ethnic harmony leading to prosperity.@ImranKhanPTI personal involvement and the decision taken has proved the depth of our relationship and mutual respect,” he tweeted.
