Vettaikaaran director Babu Sivan, 54, mourned

Film star/composer Vijay Antony took to Twitter to share his condolences to South Indian filmmaker Babu Sivan.

Babu Sivan, who directed Vijay’s Vettaikaran in 2009, died due to illness in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was 54.

@vijayantony tweeted: “I am deeply saddened and shocked about the sudden demise of Vettaikaaran director Babu Sivan. He was a very simple man who gave me complete freedom to execute my ideas in Vettaikaaran. Condolences and strength to his family and friends.”

Fans have been sharing their condolences on the demise of Babu Sivan on social media.

The film director was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital in Chennai two days ago due to illness.

He had been unconscious for the past two days, had suffered kidney and liver damage.
