Sri Lanka’s rupee closes weaker at 202/204 levels

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s rupee closed weaker at 202/204 levels in the one-month dollar on Friday while bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Sri Lanka’s rupee closed around 201/203 in the one-month forward market on Thursday, Economy Next reported.

Average Telegraph Transfers (TT) rates of the dollar at commercial banks was 198.48 to sell and 192.51 rupees to buy on Friday according to central bank data.

In the secondary market, bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Bonds maturing on 15.12.2022 closed at 5.95/00 per cent on Friday, steady from 5.95/05 per cent on Thursday.
