Sputnik V vaccination begins in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka began rolling out the Sputnik V vaccine for COVID-19 developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology in Russia.
Residents of Gothatuwa between 30 and 60 were the first to be administered with the Sputnik V vaccine at the Madinnagoda Purana Rajamaha Viharaya in Gothatuwa.
Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana and Specialist Dr.Samitha Ginige were present.
