Govt ‘will benefit by entry of former Ranil to parliament,’ says former JVP MP
COLOMBO: Former Kalutara district JVP Parliamentarian Dr. Nalinda Jayathissa said that the government will benefit by the entry of former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to Parliament.
He said that a subtle campaign is in place to sideline the small parties which supported the government to form a two-thirds majority in parliament.
He was of the view that the number of PCR tests conducted by the health authorities have been reduced from 28,000 to 17,000 daily.
“The number of PCR tests to be carried out is not determined by the Health officials,” he said He added that PCR tests should be carried out according to the instructions given by the health authorities based on the scientific facts and figures.
“The health officials should not dance to the tune of politicians.”
