Sajith tells govt to formulate policies for online education
COLOMBO: Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa questioned whether the government has formulated necessary policies for online education which needs a priority considering the pandemic situation in the country.
The MP pointed out that the education of children has been disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has been going on for more than a year and that it is the responsibility of the government to provide education to children through online methods or any other electronic medium.
However, the present government has neglected that responsibility, Premadasa alleged.
Premadasa questioned the government as to what measures it has taken to formulate a government policy regarding online education. Premadasa also inquired whether the government had further developed the criteria for online education or initiated courses.
