Hishalinie has constantly been beaten with a broom by a young man working in former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen’s house, Hishalinie’s mother R. Ranjani stated.

This was mentioned by her at a press conference held in Kandy today (20).

She stated that her daughter used to complain about a man beating her with a broom continuously, during one of their telephone conversations.

A man had snatched the phone from Hishalinie during this conversation and said that she speaks back to Rishad Bathiudeen’s wife, she said.

She also mentioned that she had requested Rishad Bathiudeen’s wife not to beat her child.

She stated that her daughter said that she didn’t want to work at Rishad Bathiudeen’s house during their final conversation.

Ranjani says that her daughter was sent to work at Rishad Bathiudeen’s residence in order to repay the loans she had obtains.
