More doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines arrive amid drive to save lives
COLOMBO: Officials say 728,000 more doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines from Japan has arrived in Sri Lanka.
According to the State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof Channa Jayasumana the newly received vaccines will be rolled out in the Kegalle District.
The total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country surpasses 5,000 mark. It is at 5017.
The government has urged the general public to get vaccinated against COVID-19 without delay.
