Italy lifts ban on Sri Lankan travellers

The Health Ministry of Italy has lifted the air travel ban on Sri Lankan travellers from today (30). The travel ban was imposed on 29 April, due to the rapid spread of Covid -19 in the South Asian region.

The Italian Ministry of Health stated that during the five month ban, those with children in Italy, those who gained citizenship prior to 29 April, students and those seeking medical treatment in Italy were permitted to enter.

All entry is subject to following health and safety protocols put in place by the Italian Government.
