Police Release Couple Who Created Pahanthuda Pornographic Video; Kovid infected the Young Man

The CID says that the couple who were arrested for making an obscene video against the backdrop of Pahanthudawa Falls in the Belihuloya area in Balangoda in the Ratnapura District have been released on police bail.

It is said that the girl and the youth have been released on police bail, asking them to appear before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court on the 16th.

The youth arrested in connection with the incident has been identified as a Kovid infected person and the suspects were released on police bail without being produced in court as the girl was also a Kovid associate, the official said.

The suspects were arrested by the CID in Maharagama on the 2nd at around 4.30 pm on the charge of producing, possessing and distributing pornographic videos in accordance with Sections 285 and 286 of the Obscene Publications Act No. 22 of 1983 and the Ceylon Penal Code. In.

A 34-year-old photographer from Pamunuwa, Maharagama and a 25-year-old beautician from Elpitiya have been arrested and released on police bail by the CID.
