5 dead and 5 injured in a family tragedy in France : originate from Sri Lanka.
Five people have been confirmed dead in what the French newspaper Le Parisien describes as a family tragedy.
A man is said to have attacked several adults and children in a house in Noisy-le-Sec outside Paris on Saturday morning.
Bleeding in cafe
Four of the five dead are children, says an unnamed police source. They should be between just a few months old to 14 years old.
The fifth person killed is a woman, writes L’est Républicain.
Three other people are critically injured and two are described as serious. One of them is the perpetrator, the newspaper writes.
According to the TV station BFM, a young man must have come bleeding into a café in the city to ask for help. He told of a relative who attacked family members with a knife and hammer. It writes NTB.

The motive for the attack is not known yet, but according to the newspaper Le Figaro, the police are investigating whether there may be a family conflict in the picture.
They write that the attacker is part of the family that was killed, and that they originate from Sri Lanka.
Photos and videos from social media show that the emergency services are heavily present on Saturday morning.
