Delhi Capitals surge to top of Indian Premier League
Delhi Capitals surged to the top of the Indian Premier League with a 59-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday.
The Twenty20 tournament is into its third week in the UAE after being moved out of India due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli, who was kept under check in his 39-ball 43 before falling to South African quick Kagiso Rabada, admitted his team was far from convincing against a top Delhi unit.
“DC are playing some really good cricket. Their batting is fearless. They have got pace, they have got good spinners,” Kohli was quoted as saying in an AFP report.
“I won’t say they are unbeatable, but they will be hard to beat. Against this side, you have to bring your A game. We didn’t tonight.”
