PM joins 215th ‘Amadam Sisilasa’ (Buddhist Dhamma sermon series)
COLOMBO: The “Amaadam Sisilasa” Dhamma Sermon Series initiated by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is held every full moon day with the aim of reaching Buddhist community for a wise and pious society.
On Wednesday (Oct. 20), the Vap Full Moon Poya day, 215th chapter of the Dhamma Sermon was conducted at the Temple Trees by former Vice – Chancellor of the Sri Lanka Buddhist and Pali university Ven. Prof. Ittademaliye Indasara Thero.
The Thero admired the Prime Minister’s vision of conducting a series of dhamma sermons on every full moon day to heal the minds of Buddhists in Sri Lanka.
The Thero also mentioned the difficult era and catastrophic situations the Sri Lanka has successfully passed under the leadership of Hon Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Shiranthi Rajapaksa and a number of people were present at the sermon in compliance with national COVID-19 health guidelines.
