‘Cycle for Unity’ program in Jaffna: Consul general received by Dr. Aru Thirumurugan

COLOMBO: As part of the celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Consulate General of India, Jaffna, coinciding with the National Unity Day to mark the 146th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, organized a “Cycle for Unity” program on Oct. 26.

The officials of the consulate cycled from the Consulate building to Sivapoomi temple (an adobe of Lord Shiva) under Sivapoomi Trust at Navatkuli.

Consul General Raakesh Natraj was received by the founder and president of Sivapoomi Trust Dr. Aru Thirumurugan.

Acting upon in the guided spirit of Vasudhiva Kutumbakam, the consul general along with the officials of the consulate offered a special puja for well-being of the people of India and Sri Lanka.
