‘Siddha for all’ camp in Kilinochchi gets good response
COLOMBO: Consulate General of India, Jaffna, along with provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province, jointly organized the second Siddha Medical Camp at Bharathipuram Maha Vidyalayam, Kilinochchi under the banner of ‘Siddha for all” campaign.
This was part of the activities to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The inauguration ceremony began with lighting of lamp by Raakesh Natraj, Consul General, Mrs. R. Ketheesawaran, District Secretary, Kilinochchi, Dr. (Mrs.) K. Jebanamaganeshan, Commissioner, & Dr. Sathiyaseelan, Deputy Commissioner, Provincial Department of Indigenous Medicine, Northern Province, Mr. Amalarasa, Assistant Director of Planning, Karachchi Division, Kilinochchi along with Community Medical Officers & Siddha doctors.
The medical camp attracted an overwhelming response.
More than 250 patients from all age categories visited the camp and received free medical advice and free Siddha medicines for their ailments.
