Cricket: Mumbai Indians reclaim top IPL spot
Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets in Dubai to reach the top of the Indian Premier League again.
In another match, Rajasthan Royals snapped their four-match losing streak after edging out Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets.
Rahul Tewatia said the presence of England all-rounder Ben Stokes is a morale booster for Rajasthan Royals.
“His presence on the field matters for us. (With) his intensity on the ground and (as) he takes all (the players) along, it fills the team with confidence,” Tewatia was quoted as saying by AFP.
New Zealand-born Stokes was in Christchurch with his father, who has been battling cancer, since pulling out of the Pakistan Test series in August.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma commented on the team’s victory:
“The kind of cricket we are playing gives us confidence going forward.”
