Keells Union Place closed after 2 staff members test positive for Covid 19

A Keells Supermarket in Union Place had been closed after two workers tested positive for Coronavirus on November 07, following random tests, the company said as total infections topped 13,000.

Contacts have been self-quarantined for 14 days, the firm said.

Sri Lanka dropped institutionalized quarantine last week and is now home quarantining first contacts with their family member (second contacts).

“Keells Supermarkets have maintained precautionary safety processes from the onset of the pandemic and will continue to do so,” the company said.

“Random PCR tests of our team members will continue as a precautionary measure.”

The state information office said 257 new Coronavirus cases had been found taking the total so far to 13,327. (Colombo/Nov07/2020)
