Sri Lankan Navy arrests 3 fishermen from Tamil Nadu

The Sri Lankan Navy arrested three Indian fishermen from Thangachimadam in Ramanathapuram district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the mechanized fishing boat with three men onboard had taken off from Rameswaram on Monday night. During early hours on Tuesday, the Sri Lankan Navy, while on their regular patrolling near Neduntheevu, found the fishing boat to have trespassed the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL).
Following this, they apprehended A. Shankar (53), D. Arjunan (35), and S. Murugesan (49) of Thangachimadam on charges of poaching and seized the boat.
