Constitutional reforms committee: Mano Ganesan seeks representation for recent Indian origin Tamils

COLOMBO: TPA leader Mano Ganesan has requested President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to nominate a member representing Tamil Sri Lankans of recent Indian origin living outside the north and east to the experts committee on constitutional reforms.

The Colombo district MP made this request in a a letter he sent to the president.

The TPA leader also said that he had also spoken to Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on this issue over the phone.

Dr. Sarveshwaran and Prof. Kamurdeen have already been nominated to this nine-member committee providing a sense of inclusiveness to Tamils in the north and east and Muslims.

Ganesan said he wants the same sense of inclusiveness for the recent Indian origin Tamils living outside north and eastern provinces.
