Greetings pour in as PM Modi turns 70

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday on Thursday Sept. 17.

“Wishing PM Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday,” tweeted Gandhi as Modi turned 70.

Prominent personalities have taken to the social media to convey their greetings to the prime minister.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji congratulations on your birthday and best wishes. You have presented an ideal in showing commitment to India’s life values and democratic traditions. My compliments and prayers that the almighty keeps you healthy and joyous always, and the country keeps getting your valuable services,” President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (@BorisJohnson) said on Twitter: “Very best wishes to my friend @narendramodi on his 70th birthday. I hope to see you soon.”

Popular South Indian film star Mohanlal tweeted: “Happy Birthday to our Honorable Prime Minister Shri. @narendramodi ji. Wishing many more happy and healthy years to come.

Senior Indian diplomat (@NoorRahman_IFS) tweeted: “What a change India has seen in the last 6 years of able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi esp in terms of the standing in the world including the Arab world! Party workers celebrated the occasion at India Gate in New Delhi with a cake of 70 kg.
